Product Design with Blender
This product design lesson was built upon the “Design thinking for educators toolkit” by www.ideo.com, a human centered design firm grown in the context of Riverdale Country School, a Pre-K through Grade 12 independent school in New York City, and connects with my first English Lesson with Blender.
This Lesson starts with some inspiration, the two product design projects I’ going to show you are very similar and still different. The target audience is very important to understand this differences in the design approach for each product.
This is the Clairy project, sponsored by google it focuses on cleaning individual apartments from air pollution, the website displays lots of options for aesthetic details to customize the product for a single appartment and the app gives an interface to feel empowered of controlling the pollution in our own houses.
This second project was built for large and public spaces, and as shown in the VR navigator is more focused on the reliability for the single pieces of the assembly and the beauty and relaxing empowerment of the environment created through the product, the VR view helps the product to be seen in its environment and the largely reachable pieces are useful for a large scale distribution.
